The JACH is one of the few here with a real down component: the seat is sponge plus a down-and-feather blend, giving a soft-but-supported medium feel over a very deep 29.5-inch seat. The frame is pine, lighter and less durable than kiln-dried hardwood, and it is rated to 600 pounds. Upholstery is hemp velvet, wrinkle- and wear-resistant, in beige, black, orange or white. The covers are removable but the care instruction is brush or dry cloth only, not washing.
