Cloud Couch Guide exists to answer one narrow question well: which cloud-style sofas are worth buying, and for whom. We do not try to cover every sofa — just this trend, in depth.
The five scores
Every couch we cover gets the same five scores from 0 to 10, so a $900 loveseat and a $3,500 sectional can still be compared on the same axes. The scores are our editorial judgement, informed by specifications and aggregated buyer reviews. They are not manufacturer figures.
- Comfort — seat depth, fill softness, how it feels over a long evening.
- Durability — frame material, fabric wear rating, how cushions hold up over a year.
- Easy cleaning — removable covers, machine-washability, stain and pet resistance.
- Style versatility — colourways, modular reconfigurability, range of rooms it suits.
- Value — the other four scores weighed against the price tier.
Scores are relative to the catalogue: when we add couches that shift the range, we recompute the others so the comparison stays fair.
